What is Prevacid?

Prevacid belongs to the group of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors. Prevacid works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach, relieving pain and helping repair the damage. Prevacid is used to treat certain conditions that produced by too much acid in the stomach.
Prevacid is used to treat stomach ulcers (stomach ulcers), duodenal ulcers (ulcers of the upper part of the intestine), acid reflux disease, acid-related dyspepsia (acid indigestion) and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

What is Nexium?

Nexium is in a class of medicine called proton pump inhibitors block the production of acid by the stomach. The active ingredient in Nexium is esomeprazole. Nexium is used in the treatment of dyspepsia, peptic ulcer disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
