If you miss taking at least two pills, you do not have periods during that month. If you miss a period of two months in a row, you may be pregnant.
If you do not recall taking the pills, take pills missed and return to your exit program.

Mircette Overdose

Ortho Tri-Cyclen is a synthetic form of progesterone or a progestin (female hormone) that prevent ovulation and participate in regulatory rules. Progesterone is produced in the ovary after an egg has matured and has been released to prevent the release of more eggs. In case of pregnancy levels of progesterone in the blood are keeping up the uterus lining. Thus this hormone ‘fooled’ the body advising that ovulation has already occurred and that way it can be used as contraception to prevent pregnancy. The drug affects the cervical mucus and uterine lining in such a way that it becomes more difficult for sperm to reach the uterus and harder for a fertilized egg to remain faithful to the uterus. It can also be used to treat severe Achne.

Dosage and Administration

Follow all instructions of the doctor regarding taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen. Do not take it in larger amounts or take it longer than recommended. Take the first tablet “active” on the first day of your period or during the first Sunday after your early monthl. Take one tablet daily, preferably at the same time each day. Drug interaction

The decrease of contraceptive effect occurs if Ortho Tri-Cyclen is used concomitantly with antibiotics, anticonvulsants and other drugs that increase metabolism of contraceptive steroids. The interaction is possible between Ortho Tri Cyclen and phenylbutazone (azolide, Butazolidin), the seizure medicines such as phenytoin (Dilantin), carbamazepine (Tegretol), oxcarbazepine (Trileptal), topiramate (Topamax), the wort St. John’s , barbiturates such as mephobarbital (Mebaral), amobarbital (Amytal), phenobarbital (Luminal, Solfoton) butabarbital (Butisol), secobarbital (Seconal); HIV medicines. Ascorbic acid and acetaminophen are also able to increase plasma ethinyl estradiol levels.

Dose bored

If you’re tired of a risk of pill becoming pregnant increases. If you forgot to take a pill ‘active’, take two tablets as soon as you remember then return to your program. If you’re bored of two “active” pills in a row in the first or second week of treatment, take two tablets a day for two days straight. Then return to your program. Use the test of birth control for 7 days if such a ‘fault’ occurred. If you’re bored at least two drinks pills, you can not have monthl during the month. If you get bored of a period for two consecutive months you could be pregnant.
If you’re bored pill reminder, throw the pills bored and go back to your program.

Overdose

If you think you have taken too much medication seek medical attention immediately and drink a glass of milk. Possible overdose symptoms include nausea, vomiting and vaginal bleeding.

Conservation

Keep Ortho Tri-Cyclen tight container in a dry place away from sunlight at room temperature between 15-30 C (59-86 F) away from children and pets.
